About Dr. Headley

Dr. Headley, Black Men Contributor

Children are our most valuable renewable resource, we must protect them...

Headley is an Associate Instructor in the School of Teacher Education at Florida State University- Tallahassee, Fl.

Finding out about his learning disabilities as a college student spurred his interest in advocating for students who, like him, were overlooked by the public school systems. (Headley is a product of the NYC & Miami-Dade public school systems).

He has made it part of his personal philosophy to advocate for young men of color. These students are often erroneously labeled and over-referred to various agencies by over-zealous teachers who fail to recognize their needs.

Headley has a PHD in Curriculum & Instruction and has taught in both secondary & post secondary setting over the last 13 years.

In his spare time he enjoys reading, writing, road trips, home improvement projects, and spending time with his family which includes his wife, Clarissa; sons, Henson, Houston; and Pug, Cocoa Mocha.
