Impossible is nothing

Yes, We Rise: Impossible is nothing

FACT:

  • 50%-70% of new businesses fail in the first 18 months!
  • 12,218 feature and short length films were submitted to the Sundance Film Festival in 2014, Only 185 got in...54 from first time filmmakers.
  • Students in graduate degree programs are responsible for more than $60 billion in student loans. 25% graduate students borrow nearly $100,000, and another 1 in 10 borrow more than $150,000.
  • Only 1.8% of self-published authors made over $100,000 from their writing last year.
  • In 2011, Established designer Marc Jacobs president Robert Duffy told the New York Times that Jacobs' fall 2011 show at New York Fashion Week cost at least $1,000,000 (or $1,750 per second).

There it is folks, the facts don't lie. Plain and simple...what you are trying to do...its NOT going to work! Now...your dream may not to be a fashion designer or to write a book, but the point is the same...short of a miracle...your dream is more like MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!!!

YOUR CHOICES:

1. Give up now and throw in the towel. It is far cheaper, definitely easier and surely less stressful. Go back to your previous life....
                                                                             .....OR.......

2. FIGHT!!!!!!   Fight like HELL. That's right...dig deep, and muscle up every little bit of strength, courage, wisdom, chutzpah, kahunas, gut, daring, arrogance, ego...WHATEVER IT IS... FIND IT...and GO FOR IT!

The old folks would say "If he brought you to it, he will bring you through it." Its not a mistake that you had the idea...or that you got accepted. No coincidence brought you to this place. You did not imagine anything. You are at this point and place in time in your life because it's part of the process that is going to make you successful DESPITE your circumstances.

EVERYTHING that we go through, we've been equipped to handle. Remember the first time you had more month than money? LOL, if you're like me you had a complete and utter meltdown. Three degrees, a mortgage payment and a car note later...I still have those days...but guess what, I don't even blink. For real...if you are honest with yourself, very little actually surprises you anymore...you're just tired of having these "experiences" and challenges. Here's the deal, it's all part of the process. Your struggle is designed specifically to help mold and shape who and what you are supposed to be. What you are going through is going to equip you to succeed.

If, down in the depths of your soul and the furthest corners of your heart there's just the slightest inkling that you are doing the right thing and pursuing the right path...you have to go on...despite all odds and against all detractors and naysayers. Denying all the rules and refusing to believe the facts that are laid out before you, you have to go forward.

We can't wait for permission or the stars to align. We cant wait for everything to be ideal or even for folks to catch up and get on board. We have to "proceed until apprehended" and only hope that it's not too late! The time is now...you can't quit...you're too close!

  1. Thank you for writing this. I went to bed thinking about letting go of something near to my heart. And woke up to this message. Thank you.

  2. I have to agree with Nic. Thank you. I love everything about this post and about this site! This was exactly what I NEEDED to read today. Thanks for the reminder. We forget, every once in a while, that we pushed through harder times in our lives. What if the next push got us to where we needed to go and we just gave up. Oh no ... where's my tissue! Thank you Michelle! XOXO
